*WIP* My first experience of PC-9800 ( PC-9800シリーズ ) hardware, I won this on a popular auction site. After watching it for literally months, it kept being relisted, over and over again. Sun SPARCstation "Lunchbox" systems and BlueSCSI

  I recently purchased a Sun SPARCstation LX system, this arrived as an 'untested' unit. I was happy to find that the unit did in fact power on and was making the right sounds, albeit I had no way of viewing the screen due to the unit having a 13W3, also the keyboard I got with the system had no cable. The only thing I could do at this point was to connect up a PC to it via the serial port and try to get a terminal, this showed me the system was operational, it enthused me to jump right in to the refurb.
